Okay everyone. Here we are, two weeks on Slim Fast and I have an announcement…. I QUIT!

This diet has been easy as anything to follow, and really pretty tasty. That’s the upside. The reason I’ve chosen to finish after half the time though is that it feels awful. I’m tired, my skin is horrendous, I feel dehydrated, I’m constipated and I can’t stand all the sugar and processing anymore. I can’t describe how vehemently my body is screaming at me to eat natural things. I’m craving fruits and vegetables so badly. I don’t think it’s right for me to ignore my body for the sake of finishing the 4 weeks so I am calling it a day and I will post my final review before and after photos below.

Thank you to everyone who has followed the process with me and good luck to anyone reading this. My actual weight loss success was so negligible I wouldn’t advice it for that reason alone, but for some it may be the kick start to a healthier lifestyle, who knows. For me, I think an abundant, healthy and plant based diet is the way forward, far away from processing as I can get!

So here are the final results

Weight loss 5 pounds in 2 weeks. BMI 22.3 to BMI 21.5

Hi everyone 🙂

I’ve had another pretty busy day today but I’ve managed to do a much better job at sticking to the plan. My appetite has really decreased over the past couple of days so I found I just haven’t been interested in snacks or having shakes at the right time. I’m concerned that this has been slowing my metabolism, as I have also been cold and tired.

I am not blaming this on the diet in any way, as I wouldn’t be experiencing these symptoms if I had been consuming the right amounts. Shockingly, this has actually resulted in a weight gain as my body is clearly trying to hang on to everything it can to stop me losing weight. My colon has all but stopped also which is really clogging my system. I will need to try and pick some much higher fibre meals as that is my only real opportunity to put fibre in my body.

Anyway, here’s my diary for today

Breakfast. Chocolate shake 230 kcal

Snack. Apple 50 kcal

Lunch. Chocolate shake 230 kcal

Snack. Small homemade chocolate crispy (children’s party) and some sweets approx. 140 kcal

Dinner. Quorn lasagne 404 kcal

Tea with milk 30 kcal

TOTAL 1084 kcal

Weight gain of 1.5 pounds

Okay, I had a super productive and really busy day yesterday, and so my eating went a little off the rails. I didn’t over eat but I skipped meals and I snacked. I also didn’t make a food diary. All these things are really bad I know, but this is the reality of dieting sometimes.

I am very conscious I am getting closer to my third week and it feels as though I’ve had zero progress this week which is really frustrating. But again, these are the realities of dieting, and it is also the time to keep going. I need to remind myself of the progress I have made and focus on keeping that up.

I won’t put a food diary up for today because I honestly don’t know what I’ve had. All I know is that it included banana chips. Enough said!

I will make this short and sweet as that’s the kind of day I’ve had!! I have been shopping and making fudge today. I was really worried about making fudge thinking I was going to want to eat it all and have a huge binge or something. Making it actually meant I didn’t really feel like anything to eat. I tasted small amounts of it as it’s to sell so I needed to try it, but a small amount was enough. However it did mean I didn’t stick to the plan well today as I didn’t have any snacks or a very big meal.

So here is my food diary today

Breakfast. 1/2 Slim Fast 1/2 Ultra Slim shake 210 kcal

Lunch. Chocolate shake 230 kcal

Dinner. Stir fry with glass noodles 300 kcal

Snack, one cube of fudge 90 kcal

Hi everyone!

Well today has gone by without a glitch. I think I was in the kind of mood today that if I wasn’t doing the diet I would have snacked all day. Just craving all the non healthy stuff. I also mixed it up a little (there isn’t a lot of variation to this diet) by having my meal at lunchtime instead at the end of the day. It felt us though I had cheated at lunchtime and then felt sad at dinnertime as there was no meal to look forward to! I might just stick to meal in the evening as my willpower starts to fade at that time, so just having a shake didn’t feel like enough. I also didn’t go out walking today, but was still active.

Anyway, after a couple of days of no weight loss it is starting to happen again which I’m really pleased about. It gives you the motivation to keep going when you get results.

Lunch. Small portion of yesterday’s Spanish omelette and some broccoli and cauliflower. Approx. 300 kcal

So we’re on day nine, or the second day of week two! I have decided the dress I was wearing for my pictures so far wasn’t a great choice as it’s really hard to see what’s actually going on. So I am being brave and doing a bikini shot instead, that way you can see what difference (if any) happens. These pictures will be starting from a BMI of 21.60.

So today, after yesterdays hunger fest, has been so much easier. I haven’t been starving like yesterday and it’s felt really easy again. I would like to start losing some weight again soon though!

well the first week is finished, and it’s gone by without a hitch! I’m a quarter of the way through the whole challenge and with each day I get more excited about seeing the end results.

Today was the first day I have I have fancied an extra snack or so but I thinks it’s because I went to the supermarket today so it was full of temptations. I didn’t relent though and am still really enjoying the challenge. I was back to my normal routine today including walking the dog, so just continuing with moderate amounts of activity.

Here are my (just after) before and after photos for this week. I don’t see a lot of difference personally, but I don’t think I chose the best outfit for my photos. Let me know what you think! Four pounds is quite a steady weight loss so I’m curious to see if that continues over the next weeks.

Day six? I had to check this was actually right as it doesn’t feel as though I have been on a diet for nearly week. I am nearly a quarter of the way through my diet challenge and I am really enjoying it. I have had a busy day today driving for a couple of hours and working at a craft fair all day. Despite this I haven’t felt hunger or had any cravings. So far I haven’t had any cheats as the diet is so easy to follow, even on days like today.

Hi everyone!

I can’t believe I’m five days in! It really doesn’t feel that way at all! Today’s been so much better than yesterday. I woke up still feeling a little poorly but got gradually better as the day has gone on. The diet has seemed super easy today, in fact it doesn’t really seem like a diet really. The shakes are quick, easy and really tasty. I have a sweet tooth so it appeals to me in that way! I even noticed my favourite ice cream in the freezer and I wasn’t even tempted. I am also finding because the shakes are pretty sweet, I am having less tea and coffee to try and compensate my craving which is what I normally do. Instead I’m desiring water.

I was busy making cushions today, alongside my normal routine and I also went walking with my dog. Even with extra activity I wasn’t hungry between meals or snacks particularly.

well day four was a little tricky! Not because of the diet but just because I was sick. I had a migraine all day and was in bed. I just drank a lot of fluids but I still had two shakes, one small meal and one snack. It’s not perfect but it was the most I could manage.

My calories intake was low, but so was my expenditure.
